9/40 Wolfreton Grange and

One house, now divided. Late C18, refronted c1820-30, late C19 extensions
to left and right. Red brick, with white brick to refronting, gauged brick
and ashlar dressings, slate roofs. Main range of 3 storeys, 3 bays,
7 first-floor windows. Outer bays rise as canted bays through full-height
of house. C20 glazed door in Doric porch with segmental pediment. Ground
floor: sill band to 2-pane sashes under cambered gauged brick arches.
First-floor sill band, sashes with glazing bars under similar arches.
Second-floor band, 6-pane sashes. Moulded eaves cornice, hipped roof, end
stacks. Left return has original late C18 sashes with glazing bars to first
and second floor, below flat brick arches. Interior: very few original
interior features survive: one first-floor bedroom retains simple late C18
panelling under wallpaper.
