House. Late C17, rear extension C18. Red brick in Flemish-bond with a
steep old red tile roof. A 2-storeys, cellar and attics house facing E
with 2-cells, end chimneys plan, and parallel rear extension of similar
size. E front symmetrical with 2 windows to each floor, recess over
central door, and 2 hipped dormers. Plat band and segmental arches. 2
canted bay windows to ground floor. Casement windows. Panelled door
(renewed) in early C19 fluted doorcase. Roundheaded recess over rear
door, and irregular fenestration. Interior of older part has cross-beams
to ground floor and axial beams spanning onto 2 cross-beams flanking
central stair on 1st floor. Kitchen/living room on N with large open
fireplace and W jamb rebuilt in spare Venetian bricks from the
rebuilding of Kings Walden Bury in later C20. Parlour on S with corner
fireplace at SW and cellar below.
