House. C17 or earlier, brick cased in C18, N extension late C19. Timber
frame now cased in red brick in Flemish-bond chequered with blue
headers. N extension and rear wall roughcast with applied half
timbering. N gable painted brick. Steep old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys,
attics and cellar house on street front facing W next Court House (q.v.)
Central entrance, end chimneys plan with rear outshut under catslide
roof with 2 small gabled dormers at rear eaves. Symmetrical front has 2
windows to each floor, stucco plinth, plat-band, plastered central recess
with name painted, above a gabled brick porch with 6-panels door.
Segmental arches to all windows and to recess. 2-lights small-panes 1st
floor windows, 3-lights to ground floor, 2-light gabled dormer to N part
of front. N internal gable chimney has ovolo-moulded base to shaft. S
gable internal chimney rises through rear slope of roof. 2-storeys N
extension set back from front, with N gable chimney slightly projecting
and large windows to rear. Interior has exposed timber framing.
