II
House, now a public house. C18, S end later C19. Dark red brick in
Flemish-bond with lighter red dressings, and steep old red tile roof
with wooden eaves board. 2-storey (formerly with attics) originally a
2-cells, end-chimneys, central entrance house facing W with 2 windows to
each floor and central door under blank panel with double lozenge
pattern of black headers. Chamfered plinth and plat band with deep
gauged flat arches to ground floor. Slightly recessed 2-light casement
windows. Gabled brick tiled porch an addition. One-window, one-cell S
extension reproduces features of older part. Stair beside large internal
chimney in original W room. Chamfered axial beams with ogee stops.
