House. Late C17, renovated in C20. Timber frame plastered,
front with panelled pargetting. Steep roofs now slated. 2 unit
end chimney plan house facing E, with C19 rear wing and
projecting internal gabled chimney at N (rebuilt). Small C20
corner chimney at S end. Rear lean-to in angle of wings formerly
continuous along back. Symmetrical E front with 2 windows on
each floor and central door. Flush box sash windows with 6/6
panes, renewed. 6-panel fielded door with deep hood on shaped
brackets. Interior has winding stair beside chimney at NE
corner, jowled corner-posts but unjowled central posts, queen-
strut, 2-bays, clasped-purlin roof without collars and chamfered
joists and axial beam in (heated) N room on ground floor.
