House. Mid C19 (said to have '1853' on chimney brick), ends
tilehung c1913. Ground floor of red brick with chamfered stucco
lintols. Upper floor timber framed and jettied on all sides with
half timbered centre and red tile hung ends with lozenge of
scalloped tiles on each gable. Steep red tiled roof. An L-
shaped picturesque 2-storeys Gothick house facing W with rear
wing at SE. Symmetrical front with central gabled projection
over pilastered doorway. Cusped bargeboards and heavy carved
pendant over a 3-light lattice window carved with vine-scroll
over and quatrefoil double-panels below. Carved brackets flank
boarded door with fanlight and decorative hinge plates. A 2-
light window on 1st floor to each side. 2 2-light windows on
ground floor to left of door and 4-light window to right. Large
chimney on rear wall at junction with similar half-timbered rear
wing which itself has a gable chimney with a tall castellated
octagonal pot.
