Stables and coachhouse block to Wyddial Hall, now a house, with walls of
walled garden attached. C18 building and walls, mid C19 gateway and
flanking lower stretches of wall in middle of S side of garden, building
converted in 1970's. Red brick with a steep hipped slate roof. A long
E-shaped block facing N with 2-storeys, 3 windows wide symmetrical
central block and tall single-storey wings linked by single-storey
ranges to the centre. Round headed sashed windows 1:4:3:4:1 with 3 small
rectangular 2-light casement windows to the upper floor of the central
block, where the central lower opening is converted to a doorway. On S
front 3 sash windows to each floor of central block with 8/8 panes and
gable end chimneys. Tall red brick wall in English bond but lower c19
wall in redder brick with large central round arched gateway with raking
brick coping and stone balls at feet and apex. Openwork decorative iron
gate. Pilaster at change of height of wall with 2 stone obelisks set on
E stretch.
