House. C16, altered in later C18. Timber frame on brick
plinth, largely brick infilled and plastered. Steep old red
tile roof hipped at N end. A long, 2-storeys building facing
E, with 2 red brick central chimneys, the larger a quarter
from S end, the other a third from N end. E front has 4 windows
to each floor. Flush box sash windows to 1st floor with moulded
surround and 6/6 panes. Flush box triple sash windows to
ground floor. Door central. Early C19 door with 2 vertical
panels and small rectangular fanlight. Marks of former porch.
Oldest features on N end with deep jetty on bull-nosed joists
with knee brace at NE corner. Sash window above and 4-light
enlarged opening below. Wooden double-doors for garage inserted
at N end of front.
