House. Early C17, refronted and raised mid to late C18, extended early
C20. Timber frame core. Red brick front, nogging and extension with sham
timber framing. Tiled roof. 2 bays. 2 storeys. 2 ground floor 3 light
casements and a blocked entrance with cambered heads. 2 first floor 3
light casements. Dentilled brick eaves. Right gable end has some exposed
framing and a large C17 external stack, English bond base, cap rebuilt
in C19. Flanking lean-tos that to rear hipped and probably an oven.
Exposed framing to rear and first floor tilehanging. Left gable end
exposed framing. 1 storey C20 addition to left. To rear left a 2 storey
early C20 wing with casements, first floor sham framing, an extruded
rear stack and a hipped roof. Entrance is in right return of this wing.
Interior: chamfered binding beam, stop chamfered lintel to inglenook,
jowled posts to clasped purlin roof. Neo-Tudor plaster ceiling on ground
floor of early C20 rear wing.
