Farmhouse, now a private house. Later C16, SE bay early C17, parallel
early C19 brick rear range on W extended to S and house renovated with
lean-to E and W extensions c.1976. Timber frame exposed and red brick
infilled on front (E) but plastered with false timbering on S end. Red
brick W wall. Steep old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys house of 3
structural bays facing E into courtyard. Casement windows renewed.
Interior has exposed the framework of a 2-bay C16 house with large
formerly external S gable chimney and chamfered axial beam in S bay but
cross beam in middle of longer N bay. Jowled posts and straight braces
to cambered tie beams with collar and queen-strut clasped purlin roof
with wind braces. Heavy jowled post to C17 S bay beyond chimney. Large
open fireplace and exposed joists on ground floor. (Roberts(1975)no.6).
