House. C16, W bay early C18 and brick infill, 2 E bays restored after a
fire c.1960, later C20 flat roofed N rear extensions not of special
interest. Timber frame, red brick with black headers as infill,
chequered pattern in RH middle bay. W bay faced in red brick in
English-bond. Steep old red tile roofs. A 2-storeys house, 4 windows
long, facing S, halfway down a hillside with the rear terraced into the
slope. Circular well with winding gear in front. Tiled lean-to against E
end. Flush casement windows with small panes, of 4, 3, or 2 lights.
3-light similar casement window in cast iron on ground floor. Plank door
with flat hood. Interior has exposed timbers, axial beams, lobby
entrance beside large internal chimney stack, 3-centred chamfered brick
arched fireplace in one room, change of level into W bay, clasped-purlin
roof on collar-and-queen struts trusses with curved wind-braces.
