Farmhouse, now a house. C17 or earlier. Timber frame on brick base, red
brick infill to 1st floor and casing to ground floor. Exposed frame with
roughcast infill on W end to road. Steep pitched roof of red machine
made tiles. A 2-storeys single-bay house set back from road facing S,
originally extending one or more bays to W. Single-storey E and rear
extensions. S front has wide-spaced timber uprights on 1st floor with a
2-light flush small-paned casement window and a similar 3-light window
below. Small window to 1st floor at LH. English-bond brickwork to ground
floor. Entrance now in extension. Large W gable chimney may originally
have been central to the original house. (Davis (1980) No.9).
