House. Circa 1833 by George Basevi, incorporating an earlier house. Stucco
walls with stone bands, eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins. Hipped graduated
greenslate roof with ashlar chimney stacks. 2-storey, 3-bay Palladian-style
villa wrapped around the west end of a low single-span house. Central bay
projects under a pediment echoed by central pediment over Venetian doorway.
Sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals. Interior altered in late Cl9
but retains its door and window woodwork and some good chimney pieces in wood
and marble.
