Barn and stables. c1700 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Brick with plain tiled roofs. Main range of eight bays aligned north-east/
south-west; wagon bays in third and sixth bays from south-west end; five-bay
return to north-west and north-east end. Header ventilation courses. Main
range has two inserted C20 double doors to main south-west elevation. Loft
opening in south-east gable end. Interior: intermediate collar and tie-beam
trusses with two struts and V-strut in apex; single tier of trenched purlins.
Brick wall with large round-headed archway dividing fifth and sixth bays was
probably former end wall; bays to north-east of this wall are later and have
C20 metal roof trusses. Five-bay return is partly of two levels; it has two
ground floor openings, a stable door, a loft door and a large cart opening
in its north-east elevation. Two windows and loft door in its north-west
gable end; all openings have cambered heads. Interior: tie-beam trusses with
raking struts; two tiers of trenched purlins. The C19 single-storey wing
adjoining the main range to the north-west and the C20 additions to both
ranges are not of special architectural interest. This large building encloses
the farmyard to the north and west and forms a prominent feature of the farm-
stead particularly when approaching Moor Hall (qv) from the south. Included
