6/43 The Grange

II

House. Late C18. Sandstone rubble with facade of brick in Flemish bond
and with hipped slate roof. A symmetrical composition of three storeys
and three bays. Windows have segmental heads and are sashed with glazing
bars. Those on the ground floor are tripartite. Those to the upper storeys
have sill bands. Dentilled eaves cornice. The doorway has a round head
under a Doric porch of painted stucco or stone which has a cornice and
blocking course.
