House. Early C18. Sandstone rubble with tile roof. Two storeys with
attic, five bays. Timber cross windows have leaded glazing. Three gabled
timber attic dormers. The door, of six panels, has a timber doorcase and
segmental hood. In the centre of the facade, below the cornice, is a plaque
inscribed: "IME 1711". Coped gables with chimneys. To the right is a lower
two-bay addition with similar windows. This is partly C20. At the rear are
later C18 additions which include Gothick windows. Interior: stair, in single
flight, is partly reconstructed but has turned balusters of early C18 type.
The left-hand room is lined with raised and fielded panelling, also of early
C18 type, and has an exposed chamfered beam.
