7/260 Lower Buckenhill Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. "1592" on sunk oak panel to road frontage. Timber-frame, brick
and plaster infill, tiled roof, central brick ridge stacks. T-plan with head
facing roughly north. Two storeys and attics. North elevation to road: two
windows, 2-light late C19 casements, two to left side of first floor and two
to ground floor, one left of centre and one to right hand side, C19 iron
mullioned opening to entreme left of ground floor, entry to rear. East
elevation has three C19 lancets. Frame is heavy with four square panels from
cill to wall-plate (RCHM Vol II, p 222).
