Farmhouse. Probably late C17 to early C18, with later additions and
alterations. Timber-frame with plaster and brick infill on brick and
sandstone rubble plinth, brick ridge stack to left of centre. Longitudinal
main range aligned roughly north-west/south-east with eastern extension and
projecting wing to north at east end of main part. Two storeys. South
elevation has three windows, C20 casements, C20 bay window roughly central
to left side of entry with glazed door and gabled porch. Frame is four
panels high from cill to wall-plate; west gable has V-struts above collar
supported by triple posts (RCHM Vol II, p 223).
