Farmhouse. C17 with C18 and mid-C19 alterations and extensions, altered C20.
Timber-framed with-rendered infill, sandstone plinth, sandstone rubble
additions with brick dressings, part slate, part tiled roofs. Irregular plan,
two framed bays aligned east/west with north front to road, later additions
extend to west, present entrance in lean-to in angle with later extension,
large axial stack to extension, lateral stack in lean-to to north, single-
storey and attic to timber-framed section, dormer with 12-light window above
lean-to, higher roof line to two-storey addition with 2- and 4-light casement
windows with segmental heads to ground floor and similar windows to right hand
return, ledged door in lean-to. Framing of earlier block appears fairly
complete, three square panels from sill to wall-plate.
