by Anthony Salvin for Sir R.W. Newman, Bt.. Bathstone. Jacobean style.
Pierced stone pedestal, shaped rather like a massive Jacobean pendant. Carved text
in Gothic lettering round dial 'aeternitas abhor momento perdet'. Metal dial signed
Houghton and Simms, London.
