House. Early C19 remodelling of an earlier building. Cob, rendered, on stone
plinth with quoin pilasters and moulded cornice painted over. Parapet reduced in
height. Hipped slate roof. 2 storeys throughout. Front: 3 bays. Central doorway
with wooden architrave and broken pediment. Field and panelled door under semi-
circular arch, with deep plain-panelled reveals. Sash windows, those above with
original timber sashes and side lights, 6 panes per sash. Eaves cornice with
modillions. External end stacks now raised and cemented. 2 early C19 rear windows
to ground floor, 1 converted into garden door (now 3-pane with side panels).
Internally: right-hand ground floor room intact, with moulded picture frame and
semi-circular headed alcove with panelled reveals with little festons. C19
chimney-piece, but with older Thorverton stone jambs and back. Panelled window
reveals and doors. Kitchen with slated floor.
