Moulded cap of chest tomb. Late C17. Granite. Carved inscription: "Here lyeth
the body of Thomas Hext who was buried ye 28th day of June ano ... 1671" (small
piece cut out of centre of stone and filled with cement). Inscription also
commemorates his wife Joane, who died in 1696.
