By Willam Garbett, 1817, 1831 and 1833. Dates on rain water heads.
2 storeys, with 3.storey tower at entrance. Grey brick walls with red
diaper pattern and dressings. Stone quoins, arch to main entrance,oriel
window, cornice and machicolations on tower, stone string over ground
floor window and brick cornice to wings. Tiled roof. Chimneys in clusters
of octagonal shafts. Ground floor. Entrance arch and 12 windows. 1st
floor 13 windows, lattice casements. Alterations to Colebrook Street
wing 1972. See also St John's Hospital (North ) on North side of High
Street.
