House. C16, late C17 and early C19. Walls of ironstone (painted) with ironstone,
other stone and brick dressings: 1st floor band of ironstone with tile bands above
and below, plinth: a hoodmould to a north door and a Tudor-arched doorway now
filled: many earlier openings now filled: the west wall has massive exposed framing
with brick infill, and a brick wall to the outshot below. Tile roof, 1/2-hipped,
catslide at rear, 3 small hipped dormers. A timber-framed house with later
cladding on 3 elevations; south front of 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. Sashes in
exposed frames to the front, casements elsewhere. French door. The north doorway
has a C18 plain frame with a 6-panelled door. Within the west end outshot, the
lower part of the west walls (of the main block) has a mullion and transom filled
light. The frame is partly exposed within.
