House on site of monastic grange. Circa 1700 incorporating remains of
medieval grange and its C16 successor, remodelled C19. Rubble stone with
brick dressings and brick additions, old plain tile roofs. 2 storey and
attic, 6 bays of different sizes, at each end, set back, additions of 2
storeys and one bay of different lengths. Main block has to LH of centre
bay gabled porch with round-headed opening containing 6-panel top-lit door.
In other bays 2-light casements in brick-framed openings. Similar on 1st
floor with similar casement above door. On roof in centre and over end
bays, 2-light hip-roofed dormer. 2-light casements in additions. Roof of
main part 1/2-hipped to LH. End stacks and ridge stack in centre.
