House. Early-mid C19, some later alterations. Yellow Beaulieu/Exbury brick in Flemish bond; Welsh slate roof. Two storeys, 3 x 3 bays, end on to road with rear wing. Entrance elevation: central single storey, square-on plan, flat-roofed porch having four-centred rubbed brick arch to half-glazed door with narrow edge panes. To either side and on first floor are twelve-pane sashes with rubbed brick flat arches and stone sills. Overhanging hipped roof. Ridge stacks on return ridges.
Interior retains many C19 features including doors, windows, shutters; dining room has sliding shutters, fireplace with walnut-grained mantel, and later C19 side-cupboard; in study two niches and cast-iron bell-top fireplace; later C19 butler's pantry; brick bread oven with iron doors. Stone floor to laundry and shutters/grills for cross-ventilation; in bedrooms four good cast-iron fireplates in restrained marble surrounds, and two hob grates with Rococco registers; some later C19 linen cupboards.
