4 windows. Early C19 casements and sashes, glazing bars generally missing, modern
glazing to southern window. 2 altered C19 shop fronts. No 55 has 6 panelled door,
top 2 now glazed, bracketed flat hood above.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
