Early C19 forge. Red brick with grey headers, hipped slate roof with 2 chimneys
from the twin forges. 1 storeys. 4 shuttered windows with small panes, and 2
doors. Interior includes the smithy and it small room with hayloft.
The Nook, Nos 1 to 4 (consec) (Nook Cottage) Blacksmiths House and The Old Smithy
at The Forge form a group with Nos 1 and 2, Wellside Cottages (the latter two are
buildings of local interest).
