SU 74 SE FROYLE LOWER FROYLE

5/11 Blue Cottage.

II

House. C18, with a C20 extension. Brick walls and tile roof. Building of
timber-framed origin, refronted; 2 storeys, 3 windows, with a larger westward
extension (c1970) which incorporated an old barn (from Kent Lane, Alton).
Hipped roof. Walls of Flemish bond, short section of 1st floor band, cambered
ground floor openings, plinth; the east wall has some exposed framing. 3 old
leaded upper casements, and other casements. Plain doorway. Stone plaque
above the door inscribed AC 1737.
