Brick and stone, with a tile roof. A building of several phases, beginning
as a timber frame, having a bay on each side of a smoke-bay, which was later
filled with a chimney stack, (and a 1st floor inserted), re-clad C18, extended
to the rear in the mid C19 and to the east in the late C19. The old part has a
symmetrical front (south) of 2 storeys 2 windows: hipped roof, brick walls of
English and Flemish bond, with some lower sections and a plinth of ironstone
C20 casements, and a mid C19 gabled porch with ironstone cheeks and stone front
with a Tudor arch. To the east lies a narrow 2 storeyed unit, masked by a stone
porch, linking the old part to the centre of a long north-south wing (former barn)
with an east elevation of 2 storeys, 4 windows, ½-hipped roof, ashlar stone walls,
