Farmhouse and attached outbuilding. Early C19 with C20 alterations and resto-
ration 1988. Red brick with blue-brick headers; in Flemish bond to front and
rear, Sussex bond to returns; outbuilding of brick in Stretcher bond. Plain tile
roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays; 2 parallel ranges under M roof; one-storey one-bay
outbuilding attached to left side house. Cemented plinth. Central entrance
having late C20 door and gabled Tuscan porch. Late C20 2-light, small-pane
windows in openings with projecting sills and on ground floor segmental brick
arches. Stepped dentilled eaves. End stacks. Outbuilding has rebuilt stepped,
dentilled eaves and hipped roof. Rear: 1950s single-storey gabled addition on
left is not of special interest. Central old 2-panel door with wood frame and
hood. 2 segmental-arched windows to right, of 2 and 1 lights; two 2-light,
4-pane windows set under eaves. Stepped dentilled eaves. End stair to right.
Board door to outbuilding. Interior: on ground floor front range, formerly 2
rooms, has small brick fireplace at right end and larger fireplace with timber
bressummer at left end; fireplace in rear left room has bread oven on left side
and formerly a set-pot on right side (removed). Old doors on 1st floor, the
front rooms being the principal rooms and having 2-panel doors and cupboards
with clothes pegs flanking the fireplaces.
