Tithe barn, now assembly hall. Probably C15. Thin-bedded coursed limestone
with large flush quoins, plinth, very steep roof with some slates and coped
main gables, but not to porches; on south west saddle stone a small
figurine. Eight-bay plan with two deep cart entrances in bay 4 from north
end, these with stone responds to plinth, large plank doors to wood lintols,
that facing PostlipHall (qv) having been cut in reversed voussoir form and
the central section raised. One buttress to bay at north end, part of this
appearing to be a rebuilding. Interior fine raised crucks on plate at c.2
metres from floor level, braced collar plus extra high collar, some crucks
not taken through to ridge, 3 purlins, complete wind bracing between purlins
1 and 2 and partial bracing between 2 and 3. Late-C19 gabled lights added,

bled and stone section between cart bays, laid 1983. Reported to have been
used for wetting and drying the Winchcombe tobacco crop in the C17. Now
used for community activities. Forms a group with Postlip Hall (qv) and
Postlip Chapel (qv).
