Shown on large scale OS as Rockleigh. House at end of short row. Early C19.
Limestone ashlar, stone slate roof, rebuilt gable stacks. Two and a half
storeys and part cellar, 3 windows. Cellar opening low, left in plinth; at
ground floor 12-pane sashes flanking recessed 4-pane part glazed door up 2 steps
in lead surround with cornice and apron over, recessed foot scraper. Above
first floor string acanted 4:16:4-pane oriel with intersecting Gothick bars, a
16-pane sash the same, and 12-pane with straight cornice. Two segmental-headed
2-light dormers. Left return has 2 chamfer surround lights to roof space, one
blocked, one with Cl9 iron casement; at mid level a central pointed blocked
opening and, left, a double chamfered opening. Door, set deep, to left, and
small single light to right. To left is square gate pier to moulded cap with
ball finial, and a long run of rubble garden wall, coped and swept.
