Paradise House
GV II
Granary or possibly a gazebo. Early C19. Fine limestone ashlar, stone slate
roof. A small square building set in a slope, hipped roof. entrance at first
floor level in front towards house; this has a pointed doorway flanked by two
lancet openings, under two lancets set nearer centre; the far side, in 3 storeys
with a central circular stone column carrying a full-width wood lintel, formerly
an open shelter, now glazed; above this a single 2-light wood casement at first
and second floors; there is a glazed 2-leaf door to second floor on the south
side. The eaves cornice appears to be of concrete. An unusual little building
cleverly assimilated to the varied ground levels.
