6/198 Gate piers at The Lodge

GV II

Pair of gate piers and adjoining wall and subsidiary piers beside
the Lodge (q.v.) forming former entrance to Cerney House (q.v.), by
F.C. Eden c1914. Ashlar piers; drystone walls. Pair of gate piers
flanked by curving walls which terminate at a pair of subsidiary
piers. Square gate piers with moulded cappings and large pyramidal
finials with an oval finial at the apex of each; walls c1m high
curve away either side to the subsidiary piers, c2m in height with
pyramidal cappings.
