GV II

Two adjoining cottages. Larger cottage probably C18; smaller
cottage C19. Limestone rubble; slate roof to the C18 cottage;
stone slate roof to the C19 cottage; concrete tile to the extension
to, the rear of the latter; limestone rubble stacks to the C18
cottage; brick stack to the C19 cottage. Rectangular plan to the
C18 cottage with the gable end facing the road; C19 cottage to the
east gable end; lean-to extensions to the rear of both cottages.
Single-storey flat-roofed C20 extension not of special interest.
C18 cottage: 2 storeys. C19 cottage: 1 1/2 storeys. Symmetrical 2-
windowed facade to the C18 cottage: all windows double-chamfered
stone-mullioned casements with horizontal glazing bars. Central 6-
panel door with the two upper panels glazed within a flat-chamfered
dressed stone surround with a keystone. C19 cottage with a 2-light
stone-mullioned casement to the ground floor with a 2-light half
dormer above. Part-glazed gabled porch with part-glazed double
doors lower left.
