Detached house with barn adjoining to rear. Mid/late C17. Random
coursed rubble stone with flush quoins, stone slate roof, low
central stone ridge stack with moulded cornice, small ball finials
to each gable end. Single main range, formerly with lobby entry,
originally of single storey and attic with large gable to left
showing clearly in stonework, raised to 2 storeys and attic. Small
single storey rear wing to right, and rear wing to left with barn
attached. Three windows, 3/2/3-light stone mullions with wood
casements and continuous dripmould continuing round right hand
return, with large area of blank wall above. Ground floor
originally had two 3-light similar flanking central door with
continuous dripmould, raised over each window. Left hand side now
has inserted C20 canted bay, door is blocked to form 2-light
casement with chamfered stone surround, right hand side has 3-light
casement and renewed section of dripmould over, with concrete
lintel. Gable ends have 2-light stone mullion with square
hoodmould in attic, south gable end has 3-light stone mullion on
each lower floor. Entrance in right hand return with C20 flat
stone hood. Barn to rear has one original stone doorway, garage
doors to right and scattered fenestration, mostly 2-light
casements.
