Detached house. C18 probably in 2 stages and C20. Coursed squared
and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, brick stacks. Rectangular
main body with later C18 extension onto left gable end; C20
extension rear of main body not of special interest. Main body; 2
storeys and attic lit by single C20 two-light roof dormer.
Symmetrical, 3-windowed facade lit by tall 2-light metal casements
with glazing bars within plain architrave with keystones. Central
C20 part-glazed front door with gabled canopy on wooden brackets
over. Blind window above. Small triangular pediment from eaves,
carved male head with beard and moustache within pediment. Single
bay extension left with single 2-light casement within plain
architrave to upper floor. Single light below. Flat gable-end
coping and gable-end stacks to main body and extension on left.
Interior not inspected. Not to be confused with Ganborough
(q.v.).
