3/110 Bottle Barn at Lower Norcote Farm

Large barn with partition wall. Probably early C19. Coursed rubble
stone, stone slate roof being partially re-roofed at time of survey
(June 1985). Two large projecting gabled cart entries on south side
with low level openings with timber lintels and double doors. That
to left has raking canopy on brackets and small 2-light window with
timber lintel above; that to right has 9 rows of dovecot holes
and stone ledges in gable. Lean-to with corrugated-iron roof to
far left. Interior of left hand side of partition wall partially
obscured by machinery but opposed gabled cart entry with high level
opening, timber lintel and recessed double timber doors. Similar
opposed opening in right hand side, which has 4 bays, renewed
timber roof structure, pitch hole to east and scattered square
vents. North side of barn has lean-to at outer ends.
