House. C17 refronted in early C18, extended at N end c1800.
Timberframed and plastered with an old red tiled roof. A 2-
storeys, attics and cellar house facing E. Originally a small L-
shaped house with the front range of 2 rooms with staircase-hall
between and large kitchen in a rear wing with a large chimney
with oven at the junction of the ranges. A rear lateral chimney
served the right hand front room but the other was unheated.
Circa 1800 the house was extended to the N and a fireplace built
to heat the old S room. Stucco E front symmetrical with plinth,
quoins and modillion eaves. 3-windows with 1-window above 2 in
the N extension. Flush box sashes with 6/6 panes and moulded
cornices over the lower windows. Small paned triple casement to
right of central 6-panel door with fanlight in plain doorcase
with full entablature, swelled frieze and triangular pediment.
Roofs sweep down to 1-storey at rear.
