Offices, former houses, C16 or earlier with early C19 refronting. Timber framed
and plastered and of 2 storeys. The front elevation is of 2 major parts. To
the W, a peg tile gabled block, with ridge line, small stack and 3 double hung
sashes with moulded surround and small panes, over an open pedimented doorcase
on small scroll brackets. The main block has a peg tile roof with hip and
gablet at E end and a small hipped peg tile roof with a large stack in the
valley between the two. Fronting all this is a plastered parapet with painted
timber cornice. This range is symmetrical with 3 narrow double hung sashes with
small panes separated by square versions of the same, all on the first floor.
The ground floor has a central open pedimented, Doric columned doorcase with
elliptical fanlight and 6 panel door. This has tripartite sashes either side,
with small panes, and similar square proportioned sashes on the outer edges of
the facade. Interior shows remains of earlier timber framed structures.
