Stable block. Late C18 and early C19. Red sandstone and brick with sandstone
dressings; Welsh slate roof with some sandstone slates. Buildings on 4 sides
enclosing cobbled courtyard with wide entrance towards castle. Single storey
with lofts above, of numerous bays. Plank doors have flat and round arches.
Windows are a mixture of sashes, diamond leaded casements and wooden slat
vents. Wall towards castle has been rebuilt in C20 brick with large garage
doors.
