Circa 1480. L-shaped. Wealden hall-house of 2 bays with C16 wing. Two storeys
timber-framed and close-studded with plaster infilling, the ground floor rebuilt
in red brick, the first floor of each end oversailing on a moulded bressumer
and brackets. The centre portion has coved overhanging eaves supported on
curved braces. Steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. Casement or swivel windows
on first floor, sash windows with glazing bars intact below. Two of the windows
have the remains of arches with moulded spandrels possibly moved from interior
doors. C18 doorcase with projecting cornice on brackets and door of 6 fielded
panels. North-east wing added in red brick in C18. Interior contains dragon
chamfered ceiling beams, tie beam with moulded post and C18 powder closet.
