L-shaped building incorporating a timber-framed building of circa 1520 with
additions and a post office addition of 1839. The north-eastern part is the
oldest. Exterior of 2 storeys red brick with a hipped tiled roof. Datestone
"D S A 1739" probably referring to the refronting. Three sashes with glazing
bars intact. Exposed beam to interior. C19 addition at right angles built
of 2 storeys red brick with slate roof. Three sashes. Ground floor square
bay and doorcase with flat hood on brackets.
