Mid C18. 2 storeys and attics in brick with slate roof with 2 sloped dormers
behind parapet and brick cornice. 6 windows, painted brick voussoirs,
no glazing bars. 2 modern shop fronts, 1 cutting the corner. Round-
headed passage entry. Gable end is rendered, with 1 window over 2. Interior
features include a painted ceiling and C16 panelling, reused in the servants
quarters when the house was remodelled. Staircase with plain square newels,
moulded handrail closed string and vase-shaped balusters. One chimney
piece of c.1770 with Carron grate. One bolection moulded chimney piece.
Various C18 doors. Shopfront c.l900, probably by William Hawe, and constructed
from approximately C16 moulded timbers
