Built as one house circa 1730. 2 storeys in red brick and timber frame, steep
pitch gable end; new pantile roof with moulded brick modillion cornice. The 1st
floor retains original flush frame sash windows to left, no glazing bars, those to
right blocked. 2 sash windows with stucco arches and attic light in roughcast
east gable end. The ground floor is occupied by a modern shop front. To the left
is a late C18 or early C19 stable wing of one storey in red brick with double
coach house doors and a pilastered secondary doorway with entablature. The
interior retains the original central staircase rising in a square well, open
string with groups of richly turned balusters to each tread. Some rooms have
original panelled doors.
