Formerly the Poor Law Institution. Mid C19. Yellow brick with hipped Welsh slate roofs. 2 blocks of 1 storey to the front of the forecourt, each has 5 windows and 1 blocked, hung sashes with glazing bars. Paired brick pilasters at ends. Cross wing of 2 storeys of similar design but with segmental-headed windows and band between storeys. Various later additions and alterations.

Burlington House forms a group with No 24 Marton Road, which is of local interest.
