Stable block. 1839-40, for S Chapman. Grey brick, slate roof. L-shaped
plan. Single storey and attics, 9 bays to main range, single storey and
attics, 3 bays, to cross wing. Main range: balanced elevation: central
carriage entrance with C20 doors and fanlight with radial glazing, under
segmental brick arch, flanked by scattered arrangement of 16-pane sashes and
boarded doors. 8-pane sashes to attics. Cross wing: blank, painted,
16-pane sash; 6-pane sashes to attics. Axial stacks.
