Farmhouse and adjoining cottage. Mid C18 main range with early C20 bay
windows; early C18 cottage. Brick with pantile roofs. L-shaped on plan:
double-depth main range with 2-room, central entrance-hall south front, and
adjoining 2 or 3-room cottage forming projecting gabled wing to front right
with entrance to rear (east), facing foldyard. Main range: 2 storeys with
attic, 3 bays; symmetrical. 6-fielded-panel door and overlight with margin
lights in architrave beneath channelled stucco flat arch, flanked by ground-
floor brick canted bay windows with plate-glass sashes, hipped roofs.
Central first-floor 12-pane sash flanked by 16-pane sashes, all in flush
wooden architraves with sills and stucco flat arches. 3-course stepped and
dentilled brick eaves cornice. Brick-coped gables. Pair of corniced ridge
stacks with rebuilt upper sections. Left return: window with glazing bars
(incorporating a central arched light) to ground floor left; French windows
with glazing bars to right, 16-pane first-floor sashes, all in similar
surrounds to front sashes. 3-course dentilled brick band at eaves level.
C19 inserted round-headed attic sash with glazing bars beneath rubbed-brick
arch, flanked by a pair of blocked original openings. Adjoining 3-room
cottage: 2-storey, 2-bay range with lower 2-storey, single-bay kitchen
section to south. East side: main section has board door with 8-pane window
to left, first-floor 12-pane sliding sash with narrow slit window to left;
lower section to left has 8-pane ground-floor window, 6-pane first-floor
window; stepped eaves, tumbled-in brick to raised gables, end stacks. West
side has 12-pane sliding sash to main section. Interior. Main house
contains mid C19 open well staircase with carved newel, turned balusters,
marble chimney-pieces. Cottage contains exposed ceiling joists.
