Wrongly marked as No 9 on Ordnance Survey map. House. Early-mid C19.
Front of red stock brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings, sides and
rear of yellow brick. Concrete tile roof. L-shaped on plan: 2-room,
central entrance-hall front with single-room wing to rear left. 2 storeys,
3 bays; symmetrical. Entrance has painted ashlar Tuscan surround with
columns carrying entablature with moulded cornice and blocking course; half-
glazed panelled door in panelled soffit and reveal. Original unequal 15-
pane ground-floor sashes in architraves and reveals with sills beneath
channelled cambered wedge lintels with fluted keys. 12-pane first-floor
sashes in similar surrounds. Wooden eaves cornice and gutter, continued
around right return. Stone-coped gables. Corniced end stacks with recessed
panels to shafts. Right return has red brick quoins, unequal 9-pane sash
beneath cambered brick arch. Interior: open-well staircase with turned
balusters, moulded plaster cornices.
